Simon Schama’s Face of Britain

An Oxford Film & Television production for BBC 2. Simon Schama explores the history of British portraiture, revealing the stories behind the most compelling images in British art. The series is also accompanied by complementary exhibition in the National Portrait Gallery in London. Our title sequence emphasis the paintwork, the photographic moment and the power of the human gaze. Each programme focuses on the themes of Power, Love, Fame, Self and People.
