Panorama – BHS: How did it happen?

The way in which millions of pounds were made out of BHS has been branded the ‘unacceptable face of capitalism’. 11,000 people lost their jobs as a black hole opened up in the pension fund. For this expose on the business antics of ‘Sir Philip’ we created a stylised High St. populated by Sir Philip and Lady Green and his business partners. The only character missing was the luxury Yacht but that may happen if we have to revisit the Greens again.

When Television Goes Horribly Wrong

Stealing Paradise – An Aljazeera Investigation

Al Jazeera investigates the islands of Maldives and finds that behind the idyllic destination that attracts so many honeymooners lies endemic corruption. Evidence of this dark side was uncovered on 10GB of data extracted from the former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb’s mobile phone. Our motion graphics were used throughout to detail the SMS conversations, explain how the embezzling works, provide profiles of our main characters and generally to add some stylish welding of the storyline. See evidence below or watch the full documentary here.

The Final Referendum Debate with Jeremy Paxman

Printed panels, cue cards, animated chapter stings, titles, bumpers & animated namestraps formed our contribution to the big C4 debate on the eve of the EU Referendum with Paxo. Everything was built using very simple elements so as to keep the designs quite abstract and unbiased. Moving arrows, UK outlines, stars, stripes and printed dot textures were overlaid allowing multiple colours and patterns to emerge and provide a quite vibrant backing for the nuances of the debate to occur. An ITN Production for C4.

Conspiracy Theories – Who shot down MH17

A BBC production, where our graphics helps examine the evidence behind the various theories behind the downing of Malaysia Airlines Fight 17. From looking at doctored images, to proving the validity of real photographs, this project was quite a challenge and I’m guessing the documentary will be forensically poured over by the conspiracy theorists. Please look at some of the highlights below, emphasising our motion graphics input. Produced and directed by Mike Rudin from the BBC.
