Discovering a hidden book collection – Layton’s Library

We’ve produced a short taster film and rebuilt the thomaslayton.org.uk website to introduce people to the treasures collected by Thomas Layton, a Brentford Victorian collector of archeology, ethnography, books & prints. Layton left his collection for the enjoyment and education of the people of Brentford & Hounslow, and this film highlights parts of the book collection and members of the Trust inform us about the particulars which make the collection so special.
