An ITN production for Channel 5. We created a CGI Cold War-like tunnel setting which the camera travelled down onward to the bunker’s large air-tight doors where the title was framed. Countdown clocks and various multi-faceted backgrounds were created to encompass all disasters from Shipwrecks, astroids to plane crashes and alien invasion. Available for a while on 5 on Demand.

We used different techniques from the use of parallax moves, a type of transition which allows the image to bleed through and some more conventional moves on an articially constructed desktop, scattered with a collection of images from Attenborough’s life.
