The Blitz: Britain on Fire
The Blitz: Britain on Fire for C5 retells the horror of the May Blitz of Liverpool in 1941, when the Luftwaffe returned to the skies of the city night after night to drop tons of explosives and incendiary bombs. The series looks at the stories of some of the city’s inhabitants over this period and our job was to provide some local geography connecting the Liverpool streets to these people. By piecing together original maps from the late 30’s we were able to create a three dimensional environment where we could pin individuals to the streets whilst in the skies

We were asked to produce an animated title and bumpers for Channel 4’s series “The Secret Lives of Slim People.” Some people stay slim despite never dieting or exercising. This ITN production follows two slim people over five days, unpicking their every move and morsel to find out what determines their size. GFX designed and animated by Andrew Whittle under the direction of Paul Trainor and Toni Marshall.

Cricket’s Match Fixers
Over 18 months of investigations, Medioto worked with Aljazeera’s Investigative Unit and helped reveal how criminal gangs bribe players and officials to fix matches and parts of matches – and make millions from betting on guaranteed outcomes. The initial inspiration for the designs came from Bollywood posters and obviously some of the title text echo the old fashioned scoreboards on the cricket ground. This is a title sequence we produced for Ben Uttley at Stamp Productions for his behind the scenes documentary following the preparation for the task of beating the All Blacks on their home turf and the ups and downs of the whole New Zealand tour. The titles were created with a multitude of subtle techniques from camera tracking, rotoscoping to careful blending of textures and clever transitions.
