To commemorate the sad death of Dickie Attenborough, we have contributed various digital rostrum sequences to this documentary. We used different techniques from the use of parallax moves, a type of transition which allows the image to bleed through and some more conventional moves on an articially constructed desktop, scattered with a collection of images from Attenborough’s life.

Queen Victoria’s Children

A three part series for BBC on the dysfunctional family relationship between Queen Victoria and her children. The graphic sequences helped balance the programmes lack of archive and colourful photography. Large canvases were produced reflecting the unfolding story and once the moves were decided upon, we were able to add lighting changes, reflections and other faux three-dimensional elements. True Stories: The Girl Who Became Three Boys

This Rize USA production tells the incredible story of 20-year old Gemma Barker, who disguised herself as a boy so she could date girls. The scandal made the headlines around the world earlier this year and Gemma was since sent to prison for fraud and sexual assault. She created three boys Aaron, Luke and Conner who dressed and spoke differently, had their own Facebook page, email and phone number. Then, in the guise of these three boys Gemma deceived two young girls into having sex.

The Real Mr & Mrs Assad – Dispatches

The ‘Dispatches’ team, led by reporter Jonathon Miller, investigated the glamourous, Western looking Assads and plotted their connections to the atrocities on the ground in Syria. The graphics were integral to the narrative of the programme, as they displayed the web of connections to President Assad and his extended family. Two large scale canvases were built incorporating militaristic detailing and gritty textures and then animated hand-drawn circles and lines highlighted the individuals concerned. The jump cutting and rapid tracking into detail further enhanced this forensic looking environment.
