Britain’s Modern Slave Trade – An AlJazeera Investigation

In a new programme ‘Al Jazeera Investigates’ examine ‘modern slavery’ in the UK. To accompany the programme we also produced an online explainer which attempts to shed some light on the whole process of getting into Britain illegally and the grim prospects that await some migrants. The Dark Side – Secrets of the Sports Dopers – An AlJazeera Investigation

In a new investigation by the Al Jazeera Investigates team, Liam Collins, a retired Great British Athlete, spent six months undercover investigating the murky world of performance-enhancing drugs – what athletes refer to as “the dark side”. The motion graphics formed an integral part of the production enabling the team to feature sports action which was painted by hand and also ‘sporting trading cards’ were created to highlight the alleged athletes named in the film. 30 Greatest Disaster Movies

An ITN production for Channel 5. We created a CGI Cold War-like tunnel setting which the camera travelled down onward to the bunker’s large air-tight doors where the title was framed. Countdown clocks and various multi-faceted backgrounds were created to encompass all disasters from Shipwrecks, astroids to plane crashes and alien invasion. Available for a while on 5 on Demand.

History is peppered with men and women who changed the world, only to become more controversial in death than they were in life. ʻThe Last Days of…ʼ examines six giants of history who suffered bloody and brutal deaths, retelling their stories, which are packed with unexpected twists and turns. TDD designed the titlecards for each episode compositing footage from the drama with textures, ink-splashes and colour, emphasising the dramatic events of their death. Each episode features a panel of writers, thinkers and historians who set about exploring the downfall and legacy of these characters. This is history as it should

The Queen’s Big Night Out

The story of the night when the future Queen Elizabeth II slipped out of Buckingham Palace with Princess Margaret to party in secret on the streets of London. Medioto provided pop-up maps showing the route the Princesses followed through Central London celebrating VE day. We also composited some of the archive material to emphasis the documented Conga-line which the royal party joined through the Ritz on Piccadily. Directed by Mike Wadding for Blast!
